Farewell Sweet Soul

Lovely Friend, Impermanence. Change. Upheaval. Loss.

Sometimes, life throws us a gargantuan curve-ball. One that however you receive it, it knocks you flat out.

Just this past week in my community, we experienced one of those unexpected blows. We were dealt a devastating loss, when Siri Atma, a beautiful, kind, joyful, vibrant young woman of 18 years died in a tragic car accident. Most of us knew her since birth. This unexpected blow required a deep moment of pause to grieve, to comfort, to support, to help out, to organize, to regroup and to connect with the many lives this beautiful being touched. My deepest condolences to her family, friends and anyone who knew her.

Life is fragile, like the dew hanging delicately on the grass, crystal drops that will be carried away on the first morning breeze. – Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche

To Ponder:

Somehow, in the process of trying to deny that things are always changing, we lose our sense of the sacredness of life. We tend to forget that we are part of the natural scheme of things."
